This collection of photographs was taken over the past couple of years as I visited some of the wonderful ancient sites in Ireland. Taken throughout the four seasons in all types of weather, each of these places has its own unique atmosphere and energy, something which I hope to capture in these pictures.
There are several views of the Loughcrew cairns, as these are on my doorstep and somewhere I go to feel renewed and alive.
The steep short walk to the top of Sliabh na Caillí, overlooking breathtaking scenes of a patchwork of fields, is reason enough for the walk, but the fact that 5500 years ago our ancestors were building these cairns, aligned to the movement of the sun, makes this place particular special to me.
